For those looking to get a little closer to the Animal Kingdom’s inhabitants the open-air Kilimanjaro Safaris expedition located in the “Africa” section of the park is your best bet, taking you on a guided tour of their Harambe Wildlife Reserve. Spanning rocky wetlands, shady forests, and open plains this 800 square mile sanctuary is a spectacular habitat to over thirty species of African animals that call it home. The safaris are typically open until about sundown as many of the inhabitants go to sleep in the evening, or are difficult to see at night.
