In honour of National Cat Day I thought we’d do a throwback to our visit of Hemingway’s house and the brood of cats that now call the place home. For Gary’s 2010 birthday we had originally planned for a cuisine focused trip along the coast of Mexico, but instead were forced to divert for the Caribbean Sea as Hurricane Paula rolled through the region. With only a few hours in Key West we opted to go with the tour of Hemingway’s Key West house and the island’s six-toed cat sanctuary. With only an hour to squeeze in the visit we did manage to have a nice tour of the house and adjoining grounds – and meet the occasional cat along the way. Below’s some video Nicole took while we were there (runs just over 8 1/2 minutes long) – our apologies for it being shaky at points.
