During our trips to Walt Disney World we’ve often remarked our interest in staying at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and having now seen it while we there on our last trip for our awesome dinner at Jiko, something we’re going to be more serious about making happen on one of our inevitable future trips. Opened in April 2001 as an African-themed deluxe resort Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge offers guests the opportunity to view wildlife grazing outside their rooms and the public areas of the resort in a savanna-like setting. Most of the rooms are available with a king-sized bed, two queen-sized beds, or even bunk beds – all of which pretty much come with an option for a daybed – and with the amenities expected at a luxury Disney resort. In addition to our favorite Disney, and perhaps all-time restaurant, the Jambo House is also home to Boma featuring an African-style buffet with a selection of items from over fifty different African countries and the counter service restaurant Mara which offers some American-style food options.
