Allanon’s Quest by Terry Brooks [Review]

Even though it has been many years since I read the original trilogy, this short prequel reminded me how much I’d enjoyed those initial books, and was a great way to return to a world I’d spent so many hours in. First in a trilogy of short stories, Paladins of Shannara: Allanon’s Quest is set by Terry Brooks just prior to The Sword of Shannara, and reveals the events that lead to Allanon’s success in tracking down the last of the Shannara line before the Warlock Lord’s minions – the Skull Bearers – did so they could put an end to the threat his family posed their master. Definitely a worthwhile addition to the story.
